Replacing the Remote Key Battery on a Skoda Car

Model: Skoda Fabia Mark3, NJ - Years 2014-2021

To perform this very simple task, you will only need a small flathead screwdriver and a 2025 battery like the one originally fitted. Using the screwdriver, open the key casing by prying at the seam. Once done, use the "tip" of the screwdriver to pry under the small battery (there is a small designated space for leverage) and remove it. Insert the new battery you purchased, ensuring it is seated correctly, then close the key casing simply by pressing it together with your hands: this way, the two parts of the casing will snap together and you’re done.
