When it is necessary to replace the battery of the electronic key for Skoda vehicles and the entire VW group, you need a small screwdriver or a pointed object to insert into the joint of the two shells that make up the remote. Once you remove the cover, you will have access to the battery, and with a pointed object, you can lever it out of its housing. Take the new battery and insert it into the compartment (check the required battery type first). Ensure that the battery is positioned with the positive terminal facing upwards. At this point, refit the cover and the operation is complete.
