Are the Smart Fortwo glow plugs damaged? Let's see how they disassemble from inside the engine compartment. We open and lift the rear hatch (where the engine compartment is located). We remove the engine cover panel of the Smart, we remove other covers if present. We arrive at the coils placed above the glow plugs. We remove the cover of the coils 8as in video). We grab the coil with our hands and twist it in a twist way, until it comes out of the head. We unscrew the glow plugs with a socket wrench and see which ones are damaged. We take the new glow plug and insert it into the cylinder head with the socket wrench. We change all damaged glow plugs.
