Replacing Fuses on Smart Fortwo First Series

Let's look at replacing the fuses on the Smart Fortwo first series. Open the driver's side door, and use a plastic lever to remove the cover under the dashboard (below the steering wheel), then use pliers to pull out the damaged fuses from the compartment. Once this is done, insert the new fuses into the appropriate slots in the compartment. Finally, close the fuse inspection box with the cover (if present). Test the correct operation of the vehicle by turning on the instrument cluster with the ignition key.
