How to reset the oil warning light on the Smart Fortwo

If you have just changed the engine oil and the corresponding filter on your 2009 Smart Fortwo, you must manually reset the warning light to prevent it from illuminating at every start. Everything you need to do is described in this mini guide. First, insert the key and turn on the vehicle's ignition. Next, locate the small button on the left side of the dashboard and hold it down for about ten seconds. After this countdown, release the button and turn off the ignition. The oil warning light reset is complete.
