In this tutorial, we will see how to replace the battery in the Smart ForTwo, a very simple and quick operation. Start by ensuring that the key is not inserted, then go to the passenger seat, move the mat, and remove the polystyrene cover under which the battery is located. Next, using a 10mm spanner, unscrew the nuts of both terminals and disconnect them, always starting with the negative one. At this point, with the same spanner, you can unscrew the nut of the fixing bracket and proceed with the replacement, ensuring to reconnect the positive terminal first.
