The guide shows you how to adjust the shift actuator on the Smart ForTwo 451. This procedure is necessary when the transmission does not engage reverse. It is necessary to use a diagnostic device. Having lifted the rear part of the vehicle and disconnected the battery, remove the three bolts e10 and remove the actuator; this element is located on the left side of the engine. Remove the Torx screws of the workpiece cover to access the inside of the actuator. Clean the old grease and apply new grease and put the piece back in place. At this point, connect the diagnostic device to the OBD socket and carry out the actuator relearning procedure. At the end of the operation, check the correct functioning of the transmission.
