Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015
Part: Engine oil

Replacing the engine oil yourself can save you several hundred pounds over the life of the vehicle. Here’s how to do it. Essential tools include adjustable pliers to remove the oil filter, a 24 mm socket wrench to remove the drain plug, a plastic container to collect the used oil, and of course, new oil and a new oil filter. Take your time, as draining the oil can take 15 to 20 minutes. Once the oil has finished flowing into the container placed under the vehicle, replace the filter and then add the new oil.

How to Change the Cabin Filter on an Opel Mokka

Learn how to change the cabin filter fitted in the Opel Mokka. Open the glove compartment and disconnect the plastic guides (located on the sides of the drawer if present), unscrew the pins around the perimeter of the drawer; rotate the glove compartment forward, pull off the cover cap, and remove the air filter from its housing as shown in the video. Once this is done, insert the new ventilation filter into the filter holder (ensure the filter is inserted correctly without bending it). Finally, refit the cover of the box along with all the components of the glove compartment as they were removed earlier.
