How to Reset the Service Light on a Smart Forfour?

To reset the Service light on a Smart Forfour, you need to turn on the instrument cluster and then navigate through the menu on the instrument cluster using the directional arrows on the left side of the steering wheel: you need to find the option that indicates the kilometres remaining until the next oil change. When this screen appears, press and hold the OK button located on the left side of the steering wheel: this will cause the Service light and maintenance interval to start flashing until they are completely reset.
