To replace the cabin fan of the Smart, you need to completely detach the panel located at the bottom of the dashboard on the passenger side. Once the retaining rivets of this panel are removed, you can fully detach the panel and access the fan at the rear.

The fan must be freed from the securing screws and the appropriate connectors. By doing this, you can insert the new fan, ensuring it is properly secured and connected, and then cover everything with the panel.
