Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Subaru Forester SH, MK 3 - Years 2008-2011
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, behind the glove compartment. Open the glove compartment door, unclip the side stop arm and the rear tabs to tilt the door and access the cabin air filter housing. Once the door is tilted, the cabin air filter is immediately visible: simply pull it out by sliding it backwards, ensure there are no debris in the housing (remove any with a vacuum if necessary), and install the new filter respecting the airflow direction. Finally, reattach the glove compartment door.
