Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Subaru Forester SG, MK 2 - Years 2002-2008

Lift the car onto the ramp. The necessary tools are a chain spanner, a set of fixed spanners, an oil cartridge, a drain pan, and a filter removal tool. Position the drain pan under the engine to collect the oil. Unscrew the oil filter cartridge from the sump and allow it to drain before removing the cartridge. Replace the used filter cartridge with a new one, but first clean the inside of the filter, then refit the filter. Also, replace the copper washer on the oil cap and top up with new oil, checking the level with the dipstick. Do not dispose of used oil in the environment; take it to the appropriate collection centres.
