Replacing Engine Oil and Oil Filter

Model: Subaru Forester SG, MK 2 - Years 2002-2008

Lift the vehicle on suitable ramps to gain easier access to the oil sump. Remove the plastic cover to access the drain plug and filter, position a suitable container under the oil sump, and unscrew the plug: re-screw it after draining is complete. Next, replace the oil filter, applying oil to the seal before screwing it in (it is sufficient to tighten it by hand). Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the user and maintenance manual.
