Replacing the remote battery on a Subaru Outback is very simple; this video shows you how to proceed. You will need a small flat-head screwdriver and a replacement CR2032 battery.

First, extract the emergency key by pressing the designated button. Then, insert the screwdriver tip into the indicated slot and open the rear cover by levering it. Remove the old battery using the screwdriver again and insert the new one, ensuring the positive terminal is facing upwards.

Finally, reposition the rear cover.
