Differential Oil Seal Replacement

Model: Subaru Impreza MK 4 - Years 2011-2016

Position the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front left wheel and the central nut securing the driveshaft; then drain the oil from the differential by unscrewing the drain plug; proceed to remove the links connecting the suspension wishbone to the anti-roll bar and then the end of the wishbone connected to the wheel hub; also remove the brake caliper, its bracket, and the disc; disconnect the tie rod end from the hub, the grommet from the shock absorber, and the shock absorber itself to extract the driveshaft, first from the hub and then from the differential. At this point, extract the old oil seal and insert the new one after lubricating it using the appropriate tool. Then proceed in reverse to reassemble everything and fill the differential with new oil through the engine compartment.
