How to Replace the Battery in a Subaru Crosstrek

If you notice that your vehicle's battery cannot provide enough charge to start the engine, you need to replace it. Follow the instructions below to safely perform the replacement. Remove the screws securing the metal crossbar above the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal. Remove the old battery and replace it with the new one, connecting the positive terminal first and then the negative terminal. Finally, reinstall the upper plate.
