The transmission mount is located under the vehicle, between the transmission and the frame, often near the driveshaft's universal joint (if it is 4x4). We always start by disconnecting the battery; we place an adjustable support under the transmission (choosing a sturdy support, not the aluminum casing) and lift it slightly; we remove any underbody protections, take out the bolts that secure the mount to the transmission, loosen the bolts that attach the mount to the frame, and install the new mount (E-Bay code 389445469379 priced at 28.99 euros, with free shipping) by positioning it and screwing in the bolts without tightening them, remove the supporting mount and tighten the bolts with the specified torque when the weight of the car is on the wheels. We reassemble the protections and take a test drive to check for unusual noises.
