Gearbox Gasket Repair on Suzuki Swift 1.3

Model: Suzuki Swift Rs41, AZG, MK 5 - Years 2010-2017

Disconnect the battery by first unscrewing the positive terminal and then the negative with a 13 mm spanner. Remove the side bracket that secures the battery to the battery tray. Take out the battery and the four screws holding the battery tray. At this point, you will see the two gearbox cables connected to the lever on the other side. Remove the old damaged gasket and insert the new one into the bush, then insert the bush onto the pin. Refit the control unit onto the battery tray, then put everything back as it was before starting the job, mounting the battery tray and battery. Check the correct operation of the gearbox.
