First open the bonnet, the alternator is located on the rear of the engine on the right side, for safety, disconnect the positive pole of the battery and start disassembling the box containing the air filter, also remove the upper engine cover . Subsequently it is necessary to remove the service belt by loosening the tensioner and then start disassembling the bolts fixing the alternator to the engine block in order to extract it. Then proceed to carry out any overhaul, repair or replace the device and then reassemble all the components backwards.
