Procedure to Replace Engine Oil and Oil Filter in a Suzuki Jimny

Model: Suzuki Jimny Jb64w, Jb74w - Years 2018-2026

Lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop. Now, you need to drain the engine oil while the engine is still warm. Remove the oil filler cap and the dipstick. Raise the car using a hydraulic jack and place safety stands underneath. Unscrew the engine oil drain plug with a 14 mm socket. Position a container to collect the used oil under the oil sump. Before unscrewing the oil filter, you must re-tighten the oil drain plug. Unscrew the oil filter (using the appropriate tool) and clean any parts stained with used oil. Before fitting the new filter, oil the seal with new oil. Tighten the filter by hand. Unscrew the oil drain plug and replace the old washer with a new one; tighten the plug to a torque of 35 Nm. Obtain a funnel to top up with new oil (top up with 3.6 litres of oil); insert the dipstick and close the cap. Start the engine for about a minute. Wait about 5 minutes with the engine off and then check the oil level again, topping up if necessary.
