To replace the oil in a Tata Sumo, we lift the front of the car, use a wrench to unscrew the oil drain plug, let the oil drain into a container, clean the plug and its seat, then screw it back into the oil pan. We lower the car, open the oil filler cap, place a funnel in it, and pour in the number of liters specified by the manufacturer. When we are close to the recommended amount, we check the oil level by lifting the dipstick (the level should be checked again after the dipstick is reinserted), and if the level is at the maximum mark, it's good, otherwise we add more oil. Finally, we can close the oil filler cap and the hood.
