How to Remove the Rear Seat on a Tesla (Model Y and Model 3)

Removing the rear seat on a Tesla Model Y and Model 3 is simple: kneel behind the seat and insert your fingers between the base and the floor. Look for a lever that moves sideways and pull it towards you, lifting the seat to release it from the latch. At this point, locate the electrical connectors under the seat (one for heating, one for the temperature sensor). To disconnect them, press the plastic tab and pull the connector. Repeat for the other connector. The seat is now free and can be removed. To reinstall it, reverse the order: reconnect the connectors, position the seat, and press down until you hear the locking click. This procedure is valid for both models.
