In a Toyota Prius, it is possible for the trunk hatch to get stuck, for example due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In these cases, it is still possible to perform an emergency opening following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, we open the rear doors, then we lower the backrest of the seat and go inside the trunk compartment. We then lift the bottom panel, open the small door indicated, and manually operate the lock. The trunk hatch will now be free to be opened.
