How do we change the engine oil on our Toyota Rav4? It’s a simple operation if you follow the right guidelines. This video shows how to proceed. Lift the car on a column lift or jack, unscrew the oil sump plug with a socket wrench, let the fluid drain into a disposal container, and then re-screw the oil sump plug. Lower the car and lift the bonnet, securing it. Finally, unscrew the oil filler cap on the engine, top up with the new oil, and measure the oil level multiple times with the metal dipstick until you reach the ideal measurement. - Socket wrench with sockets - Disposal container - Protective gloves.
