How to replace the door light of the Toyota Avensis MK3

In this video, we see how to replace the bulb of the front door open warning light on a Toyota Avensis MK3; this is the light located below the glove compartment that illuminates when the door is opened, making it visible in the dark from the same side of the open door. We remove the reflector from its housing using a plastic spatula, and without needing to disconnect the electrical plug, we remove the back part of the lamp and replace the bulb - which can be easily found in any electronics store - without touching it with our hands. We put the cover back on, snap the front part into its housing, and the job is done.
