To replace the front headlamp bulb on a Toyota Highlander, the first step is to open the bonnet and locate the rear of the headlamp that needs replacing. Once identified, remove the protective cover that shields the back of the headlamp.

This cover is generally secured by a series of tabs or screws that are easy to remove. After removing the cover, you will see the bulb holder that houses the faulty bulb.

At this point, disconnect the electrical connector that powers the bulb, taking care not to force it. Then, gently twist the bulb holder to extract it from the headlamp. Once the bulb is removed, insert the new one in the same manner, ensuring not to touch the glass of the bulb with your fingers, as the oils from your skin can damage it. Reassemble everything by following the reverse steps, ensuring that the bulb is securely fitted and that the protective cover is correctly repositioned to prevent water or dust ingress.
