To reset the "Service" light on a Toyota Prius, turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine, making sure the brake pedal is not pressed. Use the controls on the steering wheel to access the main menu of the onboard system.

Scroll through the options using the directional buttons, looking for the section dedicated to maintenance or service intervals. Once found, select the corresponding option for reset, following the instructions that appear on the display.
