The Pre-Collision System (PCS) is an advanced safety system designed to help prevent or mitigate road accidents. It uses a combination of sensors, such as cameras or radar, to constantly monitor the surrounding environment of the vehicle. The PCS sensors detect the presence of vehicles, pedestrians, or cyclists in front of the car, and calculate the distance and relative speed. If the system detects an imminent risk of collision, it immediately activates a visual and audible alarm system to alert the driver. If the driver does not react in time or does not press the brake with sufficient force, the system actively intervenes by automatically braking the vehicle to reduce speed or even avoid the impact.
