How to activate and deactivate the passenger airbag of the Toyota Aygo

Disabling the passenger airbag on a Toyota Aygo vehicle produced from 2014 to 2023 is a simple and quick operation. To deactivate the airbag, we need to use the vehicle's ignition key. We open the passenger side glove compartment and insert the vehicle's ignition key into the lock labeled airbag. By moving the key to off, we will deactivate the airbag, while moving the key to on will activate the airbag. In both cases, a message will appear on the display stating "airbag system deactivated" or "airbag system activated". Disabling the passenger airbag is useful when we need to install a child seat.
