How to permanently disable start & stop

The method recommended in the video has side effects, as it activates a permanent error warning on the dashboard, and on some models, it could even cause starting issues. The safest system remains to deactivate the start & stop feature at every start (even though it’s annoying). Alternatively, a specialized mechanic can connect a diagnostic tool to the car's OBD port and reprogram the control unit. On the other hand, this may not be legal in all countries, so there may be professionals unwilling to do it. There are also emulators available on the market that send a false signal to the control unit: they are easy to install, reversible, and inexpensive. Then there are DIY methods, such as disconnecting the sensors of the hood or engine compartment; or replacing the battery with one that is not specific for start & stop (this method is highly discouraged).
