This tutorial shows how to replace the alternator in a Toyota RAV4, a simple operation that requires good manual skills. First, ensure the engine is completely cold, then open the bonnet and remove the upper cover of the bumper by extracting all the plastic rivets. Next, remove the coolant reservoir, disconnect both the alternator power terminal by unscrewing the relevant bolt and the indicated connector, and remove the belt by loosening the tensioner. At this point, simply unscrew all the indicated fixing bolts, remove the alternator, position the replacement, and reassemble everything in reverse order.
