How to replace the battery in the key fob of a Toyota Rav 4? Let's see how to do it. Take your remote and slide the button to release the metal key; use a screwdriver to pry between the two parts of the key cover. Pry until the two pieces separate from the cover: replace the worn battery with a new one of the same type and voltage. Reassemble the cover with the buttons by pressing on the key fob until you hear it click into place. Finally, insert the metal key back into the remote. Check that the remote functions correctly.
