Where Is the Battery Located in a Toyota Yaris Hybrid?

The Toyota Yaris Hybrid has two distinct batteries: the high-voltage traction battery that powers the electric motor located under the rear seats. You can access it by removing the rear seat cushions: beneath them, you will find a large metal cover. By removing this cover, you will see the hybrid battery, which resembles a rectangular pack with connectors and cooling tubes. As it is at very high voltage (over 100V), never attempt to touch it. The conventional 12V starter battery that powers all electrical systems is located on the right side of the boot. You will find a side cover, which can be removed by taking out some clips. If the car does not start, do not attempt to jump-start it from this battery but use the appropriate terminals located in the engine bay.
