To replace the fuel filter on a Toyota Hilux, open the hood and locate the filter, positioned in the engine compartment and connected to the fuel lines. Disconnect the fuel inlet and outlet hoses, being careful of any spills.

Unscrew the filter from its mount or remove it from the bracket if it is a cartridge type. Install the new filter by screwing it in properly or inserting the new cartridge into the housing.

Reconnect the hoses in their original position and ensure they are secure. Operate the manual pump, if present, to fill the filter with fuel and eliminate air from the system.

Start the engine and check for leaks and ensure it runs smoothly.
