Replacing the Timing Belt on a Toyota Land Cruiser

Model: Toyota Land Cruiser MK 7, J80 - Years 1990-1997

Prepare to replace the timing belt on a Toyota Land Cruiser. Lift the engine bonnet; remove the cooling fan to access the belt kit. Once these steps are completed, remove the timing belt cover panel (remove the sensor if present). Using a suitable spanner, loosen the second tensioner and slide the belt off its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to install the tensioner, adjusting until the correct belt tension is achieved (fit both belts). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, tightening everything with a socket spanner.
