Remote Key Battery Replacement

Model: Toyota Prius MK 1 - Years 2004-2009

Remove the key from the remote by releasing the lock. At this point, use a small screwdriver or the tip of a knife to pry off the rear shell of the remote from the slot that separates them. Once the plastic cover is removed, four small screws will be visible that need to be unscrewed to access the battery compartment. Then, extract the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring the correct polarity; reposition the battery cover and screw the four small screws back in. Finally, reattach the shell and insert the key again.
