Replacement of the V-belt

Model: Toyota Prius MK 1 - Years 2004-2009

To facilitate the removal of the V-belt, remove the intake duct. Then loosen the tensioner adjustment bolt using a socket spanner. Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the right wheel arch liner to access the belt from the side and remove it; then apply the new belt, ensuring it fits correctly onto the pulleys and refit the wheel arch liner with the appropriate retaining clips. Finally, tension the belt by tightening the tensioner adjustment bolt and refit the intake duct.
