Replacing Number Plate Lights on Toyota Corolla

To access the number plate lights on a Toyota Corolla, you first need to remove the internal cover of the boot lid. This is quite simple: using a suitable wedge or a small flat-head screwdriver, remove the nine clips that secure the cover around the area. When you reach the last of the nine clips, pull the cover off with your hands. At this point, you will see the two bulbs, or more accurately, their rear connectors: unscrew them and remove the bulbs with their holders, then replace the bulb and proceed in reverse until fully reassembled.
