How do you remove the gear knob on a Toyota Aygo? This operation is really simple, let’s see how to do it. Take the knob in your hands and turn it to the left until it comes off the gear lever: unscrew the knob as if you were unscrewing any screw. Use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame (if it needs replacing). Take the new knob and push it onto the lever in the centre console until it is fully tightened. Test the correct installation of the knob by moving the lever in the centre console. Fit a knob of the same size and thread.
