Replacement of Front Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Toyota Yaris Xp10 - Years 1999-2005

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheels (unscrew the wheel fixing bolts before lifting the vehicle); then unscrew the fixing bolts of the brake caliper to extract the pads and proceed to detach the caliper bracket. Remove the disc from the hub by giving it a few taps with a hammer; clean the hub with a wire brush and apply the new disc after cleaning it of any protective oil residue. Refit the caliper bracket, insert the new pads, and finally the caliper itself. Pay attention during the initial braking.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
