Removing the Central Locking Mechanism (Lock) from a Toyota Yaris

Model: Toyota Yaris Xp10 - Years 1999-2005

In this video, we will see the main steps to remove the central locking mechanism, or lock, from a first-generation Toyota Yaris. First, open the front door and remove the door panel by taking out all the securing screws and disconnecting the electric connector for the window switch and the handle cable; then remove the rear plastic cover and unscrew the locking mechanism screws using a 10 mm socket. At this point, you can disengage the mechanism with a lever and unscrew the side torx screw to extract the lock, as shown in the video!
