How to Replace the Key Battery on the New Toyota Highlander

If the battery in your car key is completely dead, you must replace it with a new one. First, remove the physical emergency key from the fob by pressing down the small button located on the back. Then, using the same key, gently pry upwards to remove the back cover. You will now see the old button cell battery. Simply take it out and replace it with a new compatible model. Finally, correctly reposition the back cover and reinsert the physical key.
