In this tutorial, you will see how to reprogram the remote control for a Toyota Highlander, a very simple operation to perform, for example, after replacing the battery. First, enter the cabin leaving the driver's door open, then insert and remove the key twice consecutively and close and open the door also twice consecutively.

Next, insert the key again, remove it, repeat the process with the door, insert the key, and finally close the door. At this point, simply turn on the instrument panel, turn it off, remove the key, hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote, and finally press only the lock button.
