In order to replace the battery of the Toyota Highlander remote control, you need to remove the key from the bottom of the device by lowering the corresponding lever: once this has been lowered, you can remove the key and lever it out of its housing. This will allow you to open the remote control to access the battery located inside; the battery must be removed from its slot so that it can be replaced with a new one. After the new battery has been inserted, you can close the remote control and check its operation.
