Instructions for Replacing the Diesel Filter

Model: Toyota Auris E150 - Years 2007-2012
Part: Diesel fuel filter

The diesel filter is located at the rear right of the engine compartment (when viewed from the front), just behind the air filter housing. To reach it, you must first remove the air filter housing by disconnecting the connector from the mass air flow sensor. Once you have located the diesel filter, disconnect the connector, remove the pipes, and unscrew the fastening nuts of the support plate, which will come off with the filter. Secure the support plate in a vice and unscrew the filter using a metal band wrench or chain wrench, screw in the new filter and attach the sensor underneath by removing it from the old filter. Then proceed in reverse to install it back in the vehicle, ensuring to secure the pipes with the appropriate clips. Before starting the engine, turn on the ignition several times so that the pump in the tank can fill the filter.
