How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Toyota Yaris

In this video tutorial, you can see how to replace the timing belt on a Toyota Yaris. If you notice that the timing belt is worn, replace it before it breaks and causes a bigger problem. First, release the tension on the alternator by loosening the 12 mm and 14 mm bolts as shown in the video. Once this is done, the alternator will move forward, allowing you to remove the belt from the pulleys easily. Use a 3/8 drive ratchet with a 14 mm socket. Loosen it enough to move the alternator back. Once you have moved the alternator, the belt will lift, and you can now remove it. Now replace it with a new one and reassemble all parts in reverse order.
