To fold down the rear seats of the Toyota FJ Cruiser, completely remove the headrests from their housing. Now pull the fabric handles located at the base of the backrest so that the cushions at the base of the seat can be fully removed. After removing the cushions, pull the handles located at the top of the backrest to lower them completely. To return them to position, simply lift the backrest and reposition the cushions and headrests.
