Toyota Estima Tarago - Video tutorial

Model: Toyota Estima Tarago Xr50 - Years 2006-2019
Part: Door
Operation: How to fix a Toyota Estima rear door that was stuck

How to solve the problem of the electric door of an Estima Tarago which is stuck: let's see that it does not open with the remote control. To work on the lock we have to remove the inner door panel, which is held in place by only two screws. A 25 key is required, and working awkwardly, we can remove them. At that point the panel comes off quite easily, exposing the electrical part. We remove the window seal, to be able to access the actual mechanism with a curved iron (the ideal would be a Tunisian crochet hook) to enter the cavity of the door and unlock the mechanism. If you don't succeed, open the door from the outside with a 30 key and extract the mechanism which you can replace (it costs around 25.00 euros on the major e-commerce platforms) or repair if the problem is small. Now you just have to put everything back together and check with the remote control that everything is in order.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
