Below, you will find the necessary information on how and when to replace the timing chain on the Toyota RAV 4; generally, it should be replaced around 75,000 miles or every 5 years. First, open the bonnet and begin to dismantle and remove the engine mount; then unscrew the bolts of the timing cover, raising the vehicle and removing the right front wheel.

At this point, remove the auxiliary belt and take off the crankshaft pulley; then remove and replace the timing chain, following the video tutorial to the end for reassembly!
