How to Program a New Key for the Toyota Tacoma?

With the driver’s door open and all others closed, insert and remove a previously programmed key from the ignition cylinder twice without turning it. Open and close the driver’s door twice, then insert and remove the key again. Repeat the door opening and closing two more times, then insert the key without removing it. Close the driver’s door, turn the ignition on and off, and remove the key. Now take the new key and press both the lock and unlock buttons for at least two seconds, release them, and press the lock button alone for another two seconds. The new key is now programmed.
